In Redwood City, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in California, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

I'm sure the mulch is great! But the communication about dropoff and confirmation of the order was so convoluted and hostile that it made delivery impossible + I got it refunded. I got a Stripe confirmation email, called the support, was told to text that number instead, did so, was given a different phone number to text an image to for delivery. I texted a photo of my driveway... and heard nothing back from either number. Texted three more times to try to understand if I needed to move my car on the day he'd said, and then it got hostile as he tried to blame the poor directions on me not reading the receipt in some email I never got. The (terrible) website may have had a disclaimer somewhere to say to text a number, but that certainly wasn't clear, and I never got an email beyond the generic one from Stripe. The broader concern is that a customer telling you your website and communication process to confirm an order are tough and unclear should be a motivator to improve it/acknowledge that! Instead, he got defensive about how "simple" the process is. Not a service anyone should use in its current form.

Such a hidden gem! The prices are great and the staff is so helpful. I’m beyond happyβ€”I found a tree I fell in love with the moment I saw it!

Very high quality, clean, micro mulch with delivery at a very reasonable price. Much better than what you will get at other bulk material sellers. Finely shredded wood that has been aged already. Got 5 yards delivered the next day after ordering directly from website. Owner is responsive on email and text. Thank you!

The best choice of place to buy a big Japanese maple tree! The owner not only helped us patiently picked the tree within our budget but also delivered and planted to our home. During planting, we found there’s an issue with our pipe under the soil but the owner helped us resolve the problem perfectly with our landscaping contractors. He also taught us how to maintain the tree. Very patient and responsible.

I have just purchased one additional Japanese maple from Plant Tomorrow in Redwood City across from Costco. Gregory is extremely knowledgeable regarding his trees and will help your selection before he comes to your property to plant. He will also offer how to care for their growth and beauty. I am extremely happy with his recommendations.
